Is Physx really worth it? Or should I go for a AMD for Mantle?

Basically that. Is it noticeable? Or is it just a gimmick?

Its not a gimmick as long as the game developers take advantage of it. Same case with mantle. Note that
- You can use physx while having a amd card, but you will have to put the processing load on the cpu
- Mantle is a new API ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Application_programming_interface ) , not just a particle effects manager

Mantle, DirectX, OpenCL, etc. aren't hardware components, there are APIs. Each graphics card can perform better under the supervision of a certain API. An AMD card is compatible with directx, as it has always been...
