Is possible to replace OS on originaly android device?

Solution
I think what he wanted to say is:

The more popular your device is/the better it sold, the higher is the probability of there being custom Android ROMs available for it.
And whether it got an official Android update very much depends on the manufacturer and model.

ok i understand but it is atleast possible to get different android version on my android tablet? my current version is pretty trash

depends on if your tablet manufacturer came out with any upgrades to a later version of android. if not then the only option would be rooting and installing one of the many custom versions of android. although if its an off brand type of tablet then there may be no option to upgrade it

What does ''off brand type means'' sorry if its something really obvious but i never heard this

offbrand means if it isn't one of the more popular brands like Samsung, LG, Asus, etc.
