Is putting a 2.5 inch laptop drive in a desktop possible?

So I'm looking at the Silverstone RVZ02 for a small Mini ITX build. The problem is, the only spot for a 3.5 inch drive is in the graphics card chamber, which limits the GPU size to 190mm. I'm looking at an RX 460, and every card seems fairly large (over 190mm). I'm wondering if I can purchase a 2.5 inch laptop HDD, and hook it up to my mobo and PSU the same way as I would with a desktop HDD.

Mobo: ASRock H110M ITX/ac
PSU: FSP Group 450W (Comes with 3 15 pin SATA cables)

Any answers are appreciated!

You could, but I would suggest getting an SSD. It would be the same physical size as the laptop HDD, but much faster, and perform better.
You will want to ensure that it is mounted in a way that limits vibration if it is a mechanical drive. The best way to do this would be to get a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter and mount it in the existing slot, if that will work. If that will still interfere with your GPU, you might have to find another option.

Thanks for the answer. I'm not looking at SSD's, because a 1TB SSD is way more expensive vs a 1TB 2.5 HDD.

Two.

Ok, then my suggestion is get a 120 or 240 gb SSD for your OS/Programs boot drive (and possibly your favorite game or 2) and then put files and other games on a 1tb laptop HDD
