So I just built a gaming rig using a gigabyte ud5h z97 mobo and a r9 295x2. But I am not sure is my gpu running at x16, it's single gpu plunged in a pice x16. Or two x8, since the 295x2 are two 290x in one card. And what if I add another 290x into my system, assuming my PSU and CPU are compatible with trifire, will that 290x be running at 4x plunged into a pcie x8 slot or x8?

Here is my mobo specs:

Check this link, you can Crossfire a 295x2 with a 290x even if it's not in AMD's list.

Don't use a 1050watts PSU for a system drawing 1059watts, PSUs are not made to run at 100% load all the time, it would die really fast. You need a good 1200watts PSU at least to run that system.
They will draw about 750-800watts and that is just the GPUs, you need a solid 1200+watts PSU at least to use them.

Check this benchmark to see if it's worth doing it.

I believe I can trifire 295x2 with 290 since 295x2 are basically just two 290 chip in one gpu. I also saw some other builder tried this combo before and works fine, but thanks for your info tho :)
