So I've been slowly buying parts for a system and I have potentially made a mistake so I have a b450 mortar mobo and corsair vengeance rgb ram 16gb at 3200 speed. Msi website says it is not compatible but I went to YouTube to check and found a vid of someone reviewing it and in it he put corsair vengeance rgb ram in it. This has confused me so I was hoping someone may be able to help with my problem as I don't know if I can return it

Mobo manufacturers can't test every singular RAM kit that comes out as many kits come out after the board has been released. If it's on the QVL, you're guaranteed compatibility as it's been tested to work; if not on the QVL, you're taking a chance of it not working... but it very likely will work just fine. So long as the RAM you're buying fits into the timings and voltages of others like it, I suspect you'll be okay. Corsair is a major manufacturer and it would be more surprising to find that it won't work for you than it working despite not being on the list.
