The card can support a VGA input if you purchase a VGA to DVI adapter for roughly $10 off of newegg or at your local computer parts store.

This is the only converter that will work for your needs. It only supports up to 1920x1200 so its 1080p at least. If you need a higher res, you will have to find a different ACTIVE DVI-D to VGA converter or just find a different monitor/card to purchase. Anymore, almost all cards are going to DVI-D so your best bet would be a different monitor.
