Question Is Ryzen 2600 + 1660 ti Best buy for solid 1080p 60fps?

Hello Everyone,

Now the 2nd gen prices came down slightly and I have 1080p 60hz monitor so the build Ryzen 2600 and 1660 ti is more than enough for 1080p 60fps at Ultra settings.( I prefer everything at stock.)

Or should I go for Ryzen 3600 + 1660 ti build if GPU doesn't bottle neck? I do gaming and editing videos mostly.

Also I wonder, do Ryzen 5 2600 handle RX 5700 without being bottleneck? (Just in case if I get over excited and try to get RX 5700 instead)

All depends on what the budget is. The Ryzen 3000 CPU is hard to turn down though, especially when you edit videos.

Budget doesn't matter for me. My only concern is whether ryzen 3600 being bit overkill with 1660 ti at 1080p solid 60fps(LG 60hz monitor, 75hz with free sync).
(This build is only for 2-3years Max)

The 3600 isn't really overkill and the 2600 isn't bad for editing videos nor will it cause a bottleneck. It's just that the Ryzen 3000 series is really nice. It's faster and it pretty much irons out the earlier Ryzen temper tantrums with RAM compatibility.

But x570 costs bit higher for just playing and editing videos at everything at stock. B450 bios still got issues.

If Ryzen 2600 performs well at 1080p 60fps gaming and editing videos then I have to ignore 3600 for now and after 2 or 3 years will get the best one available.

For time being should I pair Ryzen 2600 with 1660 ti or should I wait to pair it with RX 5700 just to make use of 75hz when using free sync, once custom cards are available ( If only Ryzen 2600 doesn't bottleneck RX 5700).

x470 motherboards are a thing if you don't want to pay the x570 tax.

They both pretty much the same price here in my country.(entry level x570 ).
I rather interested to put that money on better GPU for more fps and future proof.

There's a decent bump in FPS for the Ryzen 3000 vs. 2000. I didn't know that you couldn't get the better GPU without saving money on the 2600, which is why I had asked for budget (to which you replied that budget didn't matter).

Ryzen 2600 is 30$ cheaper. 3600 +x470/x570 will be 120$ more compared to 2600+ b450.(trash Taxes )
Yes, there is some fps boost but is it worth having more than 60fps on a 60hz monitor ?
