[SOLVED] Is Ryzen 5 3600 a good option for gaming in 2k resolution?

I am planning to buy a PC with rtx 3060 gpu but I am not sure about the CPU. I want to play games at 2k resolution at 100 ish FPS. Should I buy r5 3600 or r5 5600x. Does it worth it to buy the newer generation? I am kinda indecisive.

The higher the resolution, the less important the cpu is.

It should be fine but it depends on the game. Some require more from the CPU.
If were talking new computer purchase, I would go with the 5600x unless the 3600 is substantially (25%+) cheaper.
