Question Is scrubbing necessary if the filesystem is Btrfs ?

Is scrubbing necessary with a Btrfs filesystem? I think I saw a youtube video that said that btrfs has like built-in protection from data rot automatically. So you really had to only do data scrubbing if using a file system like ext4. Does anyone know if this is true?

So if not necessary, then recommended it says. However, I think you should read into this like it's probably more a thing for long term backups than for an online system.
