Hello

I do not understand is single rank is better for x99 chipset ? i would be using i7 5820k cpu with 750ti 2gb gpu

Whats the difference between single rank, dual channel etc ?

Should i go for single rank or dual channel ?

My build is for work, audio editing, video editing, photo editing.

With 4 identical DDR4 modules, the motherboard will run in quad channel mode. Single rank means that the modules have 8 ICs on one side which is normal for 4 GB modules. In other words, single rank 4 GB modules will operate in quad channel mode on that motherboard; that's slightly better than dual channel mode.
