Is Sound card better than on board intel realtek hd audio ?

My on board audio features(Intel DH61WW) :
Realtek Hd Audio ALC892* codec 7.1 + 2 independent stereo

Creative Sound Blaster Zx SBX has almost same features as on board audio, means in case of audio sample rate and SNR specs....

Hi, please could you elaborate a little bit more,

it will put out almost identical signals to the sound card so the noise from the peakers will be almost identical. there is software out there for free that could give you all the features this gives you. a sound card is a unnecessary buy unless your mobo has REALY bad on board sound witch is uncommon.
