i only see one, its working and everything but i just wonder where its gone

Depends on the socket...AMD AM3+ that uses a FX CPUs, still uses the South Bridge.... AMD FM2+ that uses an APU and Intel sockets which use Core i3, i5, i7 APUs, no longer use the Southbridge... CPUs need the Southbridge, and APUs have the southbridge integrated.

FM2+ Athlon x4 800 series CPUs still need a PCIe Graphics Card.

like boards used to come with some sort of gpu so if u dont have one, you still can use integrated one for browsing internet or watching videos, now most of boards dont come with gpu's and not all processors have integrated gpu's inside so if a gpu breaks people are out of luck...

If you have a new mtoherbaord, then it supports new processors. Like the 1150, 1151, 1155, all of those CPUs sockets have integreated GPU. Which will allow you watch videos. Again, if you have an old processor, then you have a old motherboard. Simple as that.

my mainboard doesn't have northbridge or southbridge, all is done by the soc cpu but is just a mini itx mainboard with a very low consumption cpu

in general, less stuff in the mainboard using more watts is better, less heat, less things that could die from excessive temperature or problems with voltages

most cpus have a gpu in it, in fact if you verify , only the most expensive cpus don't come with a gpu

if the gpu dies, a plan b like a cheap gpu should keep you afloat untill you get a new video card or the warranty responds
