Rendering is highly parallel so all cores will be maxed out for hours at a time. Case will be Fractal Design Define C ATX with 850W PSU. Ambient temps reach 22C max. I will not be doing any overclocking at all. If the stock cooler is not enough, what would you recommend for air cooling?

If there's no overclocking, the stock cooler should be okay. I'd recommend running some stress tests that max out the CPU's load, and checking on the temps there. If it doesn't overheat there, it wont overheat during a render, which will also most likely max out its load

That sounds reasonable. This is my first AMD build so I'm checking everything.
