Is that possible to UPGRADE the gaming card MEMORY ?

My graphic card is GTX670. It's memory is 2GB. I want to upgrade the memory to 4GB.
There has extra BGA pad of memory chip on the PCB of my card.
I have following questions:
1.Should I program the bios of my card?
2.If I solder extra memory chip on the PCB, could it work normally?
