Is the 1070 still worth it

I've been offered a good deal on a 1070 and a 8700k but was wondering whether or not to hold off for the new gtx line, when are they likely to be released and what's the usual price of new cards, is it worth holding off or buying? Also would a 600watt psu be good for a 1070 and 8700k?

Impossible to answer. Nvidia haven’t said when the new cards will be released and gpu pricing is very volatile at the moment.

Hi,
We've been waiting for the next gen cards for a while now, but bottom line is if you need it now than the 1070 is already more than enough for 1080p gaming. A 600w psu should be fine for a 1070 and 8700k. Usually, when the new cards drop you need to get them from nvidia.com for MSRP before they sell out in order to get a good price, if you miss that it'll be a few more months before the new series is readilly available.
