Doesn't really make sense. On the older, higher-end Intel CPUs, the prices tend to stay on the high side anyway. To make buying into a 2011 platform worthwhile, you'd need to get the parts at a steal, something like $150 for the CPU/MB/RAM combined. If not, you're better off on a modern platform.
