In short a lot of games to play at higher resolutions demand 8GB minimum (6GB bare minimum) for 1080p. Considering a lot of games are already being considered for 1440p and even 4K reviews which will use more and more vram (closer to 10GB/12GB) cards like the 3070ti (8GB default), 3060ti, 4060 8GB etc... may be vram limited soon if the trend continues: newer games = higher vram usage
Whilst I know 12GB to an extent can be considered for 4K (so the 3060 12GB and the 4070ti and possibly the 1080ti (11GB) ) firstly:
4060ti vs Arc A770 Predator Bifrost in just general performance terms?
How future proof will any 16GB cards be (regardless of performance and if you feel necessary with terms of performance).
I do know the Acer Predator Bifrost (A770) is around £200 less but I think in terms of relative performance it sits around the 3070ti performance level (the 4060ti 16GB I have no clue which cards it would sit "between" performance wise)
