Looking to make a very budget build (Ryzen 5 1400, something around a RX 480 - both second hand), in the market for a PSU I can buy here in New Zealand. I was considering the Corsair CX550 but that's sold out for at least a month or so. As an alternative I'm looking at the SeaSonic ET550-G (store link) but I can't find much information on the quality of this specific model - is it a good choice? Not sure what the Gaming label is all about but as I understand it's part of the SilverStone Essential Gold series which looks to be decent. Thoughts?

Solution
Seems decent enough, can't find alot about it, but is tier B in the psu tierlist,

The Corsair CX is the same tier so see no reall reason to skip the Silverstone.
if you had asked about Seasonic I wouldn't have had to look into who actually made the PSU or if it was a good idea or not. Alas, they hard to find right now. Mine isn't allowed to die as I can't get a replacement in Australia for it right now.

We all make mistakes :)
