there is new 939 Opteron 144(1.8G) and 146 (2G) in the market now.
L2=1M , and the price is near to the 3000+ (1.8G) .
the overclocker said that 939 opteron is more overclockable than athlon64 .
Is the Opteron 939 replace the athlon64 later ?

Any testing result with the 939 Opteron CPU report at the Tom's website?

No, Amd is slatting bringing out a new A64 platform, called socket M, for A64s. Funny thing is, it's socket 940.
I think the s939 opterons are being brought out, because there are so many high quality, low priced, s939 boards. Amd is trying to break into the small server market, in a big way.
