Is the A-data sp550 worth it?

It's one of the cheapest drives and it has a really good read and write speeds at 240gb but is it worth it? Or should I spend a little more for a better one or maybe there's a drive that's better for the same price I don't know about? Thanks.

It's not a bad drive for the price. An OCZ Trion 150 or PNY CS 1311 will perform a little better and are around the same price.

Yeah but reviews from and tech suggests otherwise. The Troon 150 looks good I'll have a look, thanks.

I think the major complaint with the ADATA was sustained write speeds, not a big deal unless you regularly work with large files.

Lol that's the thing ill be working with huge files that are like 25Gb. Should I get the 850 evo instead?

Haha, yea maybe you should. I have one in my current rig, but bought it when they were quite a bit cheaper. You'll have no complaints with it. Considering that the price of the EVO is about $30.00 dollars more and these other drives weren't available, I probably would have gone with the PNY if I had to do it again.

The CS1311 240 GB. But again, I don't typically mess with large files.

I'd figured it was that one , I did look into it and it wasn't a good ssd as compared to the evo. Probably on par with the sp550
