Is the alienware x51 r3 mobo a propiertary mobo?

Hey i wanted to onow if the alienware x51 r3 mobo is popietary mobo or not

If you need to transfer your build to another case you can recycle most of your parts and lower the cost of your new build.
The X51 R3 uses a proprietary motherboard, so it can't be transferred to another case nor is recommended to do so. The X51 R1 & R2 have a standard mITX motherboard with no proprietary design and can be used in other builds, but the faceplate is attached to the case and can't be moved. Components like the CPU, heatsink, RAM sticks and GPU can be recycled in all models, while others like the powerboard and USB/audio hub are specifically made for the X51's case and won't be needed in your new build.
