Is The Amd Sempron Any Good As a CPU?

Solution
i had the Amd Sempron 145 got it for like £30 and relly was a good cpu i mangle to overcocked it to 3.91 ghz and i was able to max arma2 with a xfx 6950 2gb at 1080p no lag or anything

its not the best but it sure can be used for gaming many people will say it can never run games but its not true i bought it thinking it never be able to run a game its ok too when it was at stock speed at 2.8ghz but it does need overclocked to get the most outa it and some Amd Sempron 145 have a second core witch can be unlocked

any kind of gaming(except games from before 2003) is out of the question. These things are horrid, even the new ones. The only thing you can do with a sempron is listen to music, build a mediocre router with storage and watch movies.
Regarding youtube it will only work to about 720p as long as you have a modern gpu like a 730/740/250/250x etc

Most of them you can unlock a good second core. It is a fine cpu for the money. Good for basic computer tasks and "light" gaming at modest resolutions.
