Is the Asus G51J gaming laptop still good? Can it run newer games at all, given its a 5 year laptop?

Solution
While the GTX 260m in the Asus G51J-3D was pretty powerful back when it was released, today it is not very powerful anymore. In terms of today's performance it is a between the nVidia GT 730m/735m and the GT 720m.

I recommend you look at the 14" and 15.6" Lenovo Y410p and Y510p starting at $719 and $799. Both comes with a GT 755m which is definitely more powerful than the old GTX 260m. You can get a quad core Intel CPU version of the Y410p for under $800. The Y510p comes standard with a quad core CPU.

I'd like to keep it $800 max, though i'd rather it be less, since budgets a bit tight. The most strenuous thing i'd play on it would be Bioshock Infinite. I'd also be playing Super Street Fighter IV, Warframe, Outlast, etc. I'm not planning on running the newest of the newest games, thats why I thought that Asus would be a fine choice, since its graphics card and quad core processor would be able to handle most games i'd play. Did you have something else in mind?
