Is the ASUS GTX 960 STRIX still good

I want to build a new gaming PC and my friend has his old gtx 960 strix 2gb and would sell it to me for 100$ its obviously still working.
But my question is: Is the graphic card still good enough to play new games with a good resolution?

it is ok for 1080p


if you can get a gtx 1050 ti for around the same price that is better

Sure. Though a GTX1050 isn't much more than that right now and will give you better results. Here is a Zotax GRX 1050ti for 115.00. The 960 would work, but for 15.00 more you can get a current card.
