Is The ASUS MX279H IPS Monitor Good For Gaming?

Hi everyone,

So I am looking for a new monitor and I came across this 27 inch monitor from ASUS. The MX279H monitor.. It is an IPS monitor but the response time is 5ms. My current monitor is 5ms but its 20 inches non 1080p so either way, upgrading to this monitor would be a benefit i think. Now, since it;s an IPS monitor, is it good for gaming? I have a pretty darn good experience with responsiveness and low input lag and no ghosting on my current monitor so will I be okay with thins IPS panel? I'm primarily a gamer so I wanna know 😀.

most people recommend TN panels for gaming, IPS has an overall better image quality but TN is faster at displaying images. If you're a big gamer, you should look at getting a 120Hz monitor with a TN panel.
