it doesnt mention that its IPS or TN and some say its LCD other say LED?

so what is it?

btw would you recommend this monitor Asus PG278Q (144Hz) 1440p

or the upcoming Asus PG27AQ (60Hz) 4K

Solution
PG278Q is a TN panel based LED backlit LCD display.

The PG27AQ is 4k while the ROG Swift is 2k, in terms of gaming you'd need a beastly setup to drive the 4k monitor at high frame rates while even a single GTX 970 or equivalent card would be fine for decent settings on ROG Swift.

is 4K and 2K a huge difference? or is it almost alike? which do you think?

and what would you guys pick? a monitor with a TN 1440p 144Hz or a monitor with IPS 4K 60Hz?

i play games like GTA 5, skyrim, total war games, and sometimes sims 4

Based off those games i'd go with the 4k monitor, what is the rest of your system? You will need a fair amount of GPU power to play at max settings.

A R9 295x2 , crossfire 290x/290, sli gtx 970/980 or a Titan X is what i'd recommend for a 4k monitor setup.
