Question Is the AX860i still relevant?

My current one died one me so I'm looking for a replacement (Platinum certified).
Corsair no longer sell the "i" variant, aftermarket has it around the $400 to $600 price range where the AX1200i is about the same price if not lower, and I see too many $99 refurbished units that are slayed with negative reviews.

I looked at the Thermaltake Toughpower Grand 850W and the EVGA SuperNOVA 850 P2, but the reviews on those are all over the scale and a lot of DOA units.
Should I pay that much for a model that is about 5 years old or look for an alternative?

Might be worth it to contact Corsair for a warranty claim. They extended to warranties on the AXi's to 10 years.

Thanks for the heads up, I will check that possibility but I would rather buying something new unless Corsair will do that instead of sending me a refurbished unit.

Too expensive, in my opinion,

depending on the needed power cables.

This is a bit of an overkill on the wattage, but not a bad deal for price to performance, thanks I will keep this in mind.
