is the BENQ XL2730Z worth getting if i dont have an amd card and cant use the freesync?

is the BENQ XL2730Z worth getting if i dont have an amd card and cant use the freesync? gsync are just so expensive and im looking for a 144hz 1440p monitor and it seems perfect except for the freesync part. ALso i found the XL2430T which is basically the same just only 1080p, whats your thoughts on 1080p? is it dying and time to move on up? thanks guys

It may be a good idea to change to amd for freesync. I think a lot of the technology. I wouldn't get a 1080p screen considering you have a 980ti.
