I have a green light that briefly comes on but then turns off. I do not know if there is something wrong with the drive or if it has to do with using windows 10. The light does this whether it is connected to the computer via usb or not.

Hi there Sam_172,

Have you used this drive before? Do you have some data stored on it?
This is a drive that requires USB cable + power cord right?

Simple things you can try:
- Go to Device Manager and Disk Management and see how is the drive recognized over there.
- Attach the drive to another computer, that is not on Win 10. That way you will be sure if it is some sort of a driver related issue.
- In case the issue persists, even by a different computer, then you will need to use different power and USB cords.

Let me know how this goes,
