Hi
I have the following build running on the corsair cx430:
AMD FX-8320
ADATA XPG 2.0 4X2 GBs of RAM
Zotac nVidia gtx 750 ti OC version
WD blue 500 GB
A couple of fans , a standard LG DVD-Writer.
My question is , I am planning to upgrade my GPU to the GTX 970 , will it run fine on my PSU ?Also , which version would be good for my build?(EVGA,MSI,ASUS or GIGABYTE?)

Thanks.

Well the 970 does not consume that much power so I think it will be fine if you don't OC your cpu or gpu.

150w from gpu, 100 w from cpu = 250 w. You still have 180w for everything else which is more than enough.
I am assuming the cx430 can achieve the advertised wattage.

More importantly the cx430 is rated for 32 amps on the 12v which can easily handle a gtx 970

Actually I had the budget for a 960 , but somehow I scaled it up , but then came this PSU prob , so I am thinking to go for a 960 only if it won't even run on my PSU. Thanks anyways ,
PS- I will be good with my PSU if I go for a 960 , right?
