Is the Corsair Hydro H75 compatible with every chip / mobo?

Hi all,

I'm guessing this might be a really stupid question but I've not managed to find the answer via Google (another reason I suspect it might be a stupid question!).

I want to upgrade my motherboard / CPU and RAM. I currently have a Corsair Hydro H75 (http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/hydro-series-h75-liquid-cpu-cooler) to cool my existing CPU (i7-3770K).

I'm upgrading to a i7-7700K and thought that I would keep the Hydro H75 as it's only a year old.

I just wondered are these cooling solutions universal? Do they fit every motherboard / CPU type?? Or would I need to change my cooler for a new motherboard / CPU combo?

I'm not decided on what motherboard I'm going to buy yet (still researching and it might end up the subject of another question) but I'm looking between the Asus RoG Maximus IX Hero and the Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E.

Thanks for any help you can give me :)

Solution
The spec tab on the page you linked says it supports LGA 1151...

LGA 1156/1155/1151 all use the same mounting holes, so the cooler should work fine with the new motherboard/CPU.
