[SOLVED] Is the Corsair VS series good?

Would you recommend the VS650 or VS550?
Maybe a CX550M or 650W MWE V2 white?
They are the only PSU's I can find right now that have an "affordable" price where I live (Brazil).

My build:
Ryzen 1600AF
Asus TUF 1660 Super
2x8Gb Crucial Ballistix (3000Mhz CL15)
Gigabyte B450M DSH3
1x Barracuda 1Tb
1x SSD Crucial 240Gb

The CX550M is the better quality unit. The VS range are Corsair’s lowest quality units. I would not use a VS in a gaming pc. The CX is adequate.

There's even a non 'm' model which is not semi modular so even that will do

Well, to be perfectly blunt, you chose to buy a 1660 Super instead of, say, a 1650 Super. Get the proper PSU for it, which is a minimum of a Corsair CX, not a Corsair VS, a good PSU for entry-level builds and not a junky MWE White.

It's ok, better than the VS, but not quite as good as the CX(non M).

Your entire system might draw 300w or so.

Honestly the Corsair VS550/VS650 would probably handle a system with a 1660 super alright. It isn't my first choice but if you absolutely do not have the budget for a higher end unit, it should work fine. They are definitely low end, but they have plenty of protections and a strong 12v rail.

If you have the budget for a CX550M it will have no issues with a 1660 super.

I ran an r9 390 on my cx550m and never had a hint of issues . That card draws roughly 275w continuous but can hit up to 365w in furmark according to this review.p

It most definitely can handle a ~120w 1660 super.

A cx non m would be better yet.

There is a CV series were it's similar to VS however 80+ Bronze rated .
