is the corsair vs450 a good psu?

Corsair VS falls under Tier Three - "Meets standard ATX specifications, though closer to the edges than Tier two units. These are still solid units, which still supply stable power to your system, though not ideal for serious overclocking"

Please provide the rest of the build and a budget for the PSU.

Edit: For most builds I recommend a Tier 2 or a Tier 1 no matter how bad the specs are.

The Corsair VS series is fine for normal use if you don't plan to overclock or use a high end graphics card. If either of those things applies to you, you want something Tier 2B or higher on the above tier list. It might help to know the rest of the hardware too.

Hey thx now im jus planning to get the antec vp550. But only the 350 and 450 are tier 2b and i cant find the 550. Help.

The Corsair VS is at the bottom of the Corsair lineup , Antec would be a better choice.
