is the CPU G3258 a good option if I pair with a GTX750? or should I buy an i5 and save money for a GPU later? go for AMD?

So, i'm building a PC, and my main doubt is if a cheap processor would bottleneck my entire system.
I'm on a budget, if I buy a good i5 I wont be able to buy a GPU and will have to stick with an onboard graphics for some time.
I thought about buying an AMD A10-7700K APU and stick with its onboard until I could buy a good GPU, I read some articles and watched the videos, and the integrated graphics can run more games than the Intel HD graphics.]
My other option would be buying an used Core 2 Quad and buy a GPU.

Would I be able to play games like The Witcher 3, Fallout 4 on these integrated graphics? even on low, until I can buy a GPU?
How much would a cheap/old CPU bottleneck my system for gaming? I know that some games are CPU based, but most of them require more GPU than CPU, i'm talking in general, not on specific games.

Hey druideirabr,

I actually was in the exact same situation as you just a 2-3 months ago! After doing some research, I came accross the G3258 as well. After some thinking, I made my build with it:
Pentium G3258
8GB HyperX Memory at 1866Mhz
etc...
As of now, the processor itself has given me great performance for such a low price. I don't have a GPU yet, but I was planning on getting the 750 Ti. From what I've seen, the 750 Ti and G3258 can handle some pretty demanding games at mid/high graphics depending on the game. Here are some links of their performance:

Anyways, I think the G3258 is good option for a low budget PC :)
Hope it helps,

Well as of now, I've only really played League of Legends and Modern Warfare 3. These are not super intensive games, but I still get great performance on them. Both of them I can play on high/max graphics with 60+ FPS. With medium graphics I get 120 FPS. So yeah, I can play without a graphics card for now, but for more intensive games like Fallout 4, I highly suggest a GPU.
