Is the curve and size upgrade really worth it? (4k monitors)

I recently built my new PC, and now it's time for the new 4k monitor. I've been looking at some monitors, and it's come down to these 3 (*I can and will use Gsync.)

I was originally looking at the Acer XB270HU:
http://www.amazon.com/Acer-XB270HU-bprz-27-inch-Widescreen/dp/B00UPVXDA8
It's got everything I want, minus a curve and a few inches. Which, is why I find myself in a predicament. The following monitors have a curve and greater size, but is the curve and and increased size really worth it? Am I going to like it better than this first, flat and fast monitor?

Then there's the XR341CKA:
http://www.144hzmonitors.com/monitors/acer-xr341cka-34-inch-ultrawide-curved-g-sync-ips-gaming-monitor/
It's a pretty awesome monitor, but I don't think it's worth the 500$ price jump from the first monitor I listed. However, I'm still open to your opinions. I'm really not sure whether the curve and size is worth it.

Lastly, there's this one:
http://www.theverge.com/2015/6/4/8726489/acer-asus-curved-monitors-computex-2015
It's got the curve, it's got the greater size, and it's almost got the refresh rate. Is this worth the upgrade from an XB270HU?

What this all comes down to is price and value. Is the curve and size worth the upgrade? If so, which monitor should I buy? I don't really want to spend anymore than I would on the XB270HU, but if the curve and size is really worth it, then I can wait a bit to be able to afford it. Thanks for all of your help in advance, and have a nice day!

P.S. this monitor will be used for gaming and movie viewing mainly.

Using a 34" Curved as I'm typing this(3440 x 1440 resolution). Much more real estate and more "immersive" feel to it vs. my U2711 27" IPS I was using before. It's probably best if you had a local store to check out these ultra-wides if they have them on display. My local BB had a 29" Ultrawide. What kind of GPU power do you have to push these displays?

I'm in the same boat as you.... currently looking for a ultra wide monitor too!

Heres my 2 cents and my take on it moving on from a ASUS MX279H "27 inch monitor after selling it.

I feel like i have outgrown the 1080p era since my last 27" monitor...1080p really should of stopped at the 23" or 24" sized monitors. Putting 1080p on a 27" is like getting you to wear clothing 2 or 3 sizes smaller than you actually are... just doesn't blend in well and you can see the pixels all over the place. 2560 x 1440 should really be the minimalist for a 27" monitor.

If price is a issue stick to a 27" and you would have to choose one between the two.... either cheaper + Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 (not quite 4k but nearly there) or g-sync and higher refresh.

Acer S277HK $539 http://www.amazon.com/Acer-S277HK-wmidpp-27-inch-Widescreen/dp/B00RN08ELC
PROS: cheaper than the choice below, higher res Ultra HD 3840 x 2160
CONS: no G-sync, lower refresh rate

or

Acer XB270HU $798 http://www.amazon.com/Acer-XB270HU-bprz-27-inch-Widescreen/dp/B00UPVXDA8
PROS: G-sync, 144Hz refresh rate
CONS: expensive cost, lower res (2560 x 1440)

Compromises come hand in hand with your choices,... if your hardcore FPS gamer you would want high refresh rate sacrificing resolution, and if your a casual gamer you can choose a monitor with higher resolution sacrificing refresh rate.

If Price is not a issue you can choose between these 34" ultra curved monitors... and have these two main drawbacks cost and waiting for them to be released.

Acer XR341CK (this is the Freesync version already released july/early aug) http://www.amazon.com/Acer-XR341CK-bmijpphz-34-inch-UltraWide/dp/B0111MRT90/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1439347253&sr=1-1&keywords=Acer+XR341CK
PROS: cheaper than XR341CKA version cost of $1099, 3440 x 1440 higher res for a 34" standard, AH-IPS panel
CONS: cost, lower refresh 70Hz

Acer XR341CKA (this is the g-sync version released sept at a cost of $1299) https://pcmonitors.info/acer/acer-xr341ck-and-x34-75hz-and-100hz-curved-ips-models/
PROS: overclocked g-sync module to achieve 100Hz, 3440 x 1440 higher res for a 34" standard, AH-IPS panel
CONS: still cost

Acer Predator Z35 (not sure when is the release date) http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1042486
PROS: high refresh for a 34" 144Hz
CONS: VA Panel, lower res 2560 x 1440

Asus LX341 - unreleased
(quoting the article " The company says to expect it in the fourth quarter of this year or the beginning of next.") http://www.theverge.com/2015/6/4/8726489/acer-asus-curved-monitors-computex-2015

I personally am waiting for the Acer XR341CKA to come out in september,... it has the best of both worlds g-sync and high res for a 34" standard. But hey,... thats just me.
