Is the Deepcool Tesseract any good?

What case do you have now? The case itself isn't making any noise. It's the fans and equipment inside that makes noise.
However, it only comes with one fan... so it won't be much of an upgrade from your current case unless you add more fans.

You most likely have a not so great fan in current system, raising the noise. You might be able to avoid buying a new case by just replacing the noisy fan.

The case you linked offers expected cooling options for a case of that price range and size.
Some others you might be interested in are the corsair SPEC series and the corsair 200r.

I'm afraid I really don't know what case I have. It came with the pc, and doesn't have any markings or anything. It only has space for one front fan and one rear fan, and to keep it cool I have the side panel off, thus increasing the noise. I would like a new case so I can add more fans and be able to put the side panel on. Also my current case is a bit smaller, and has a top mounted PSU which doesn't help anything.

The rear and front mount fan placement should be plenty, but top mounted PSU is just... no, lol.

I'd recommend buying at least one other fan to go with that tesseract if you do choose that case.
These fans aren't bad; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835103061&cm_re=sickle_flow-_-35-103-061-_-Product

Ok. If you were me, would you buy this case and some fans? Or do you think there are better options in the price range (under £30). The corsairs are both over £30, and I really don't want to go over.

If I were you, my priorities might be different. :)
When I bought my case, I bought for the future. I bought a case that would allow me to expand and grow into a larger system if I ever thought I needed to. I bought a case with awesome cable management, support for a 240mm radiator, support for multiple large graphic cards, and with a color scheme and style I knew I was going to love.

When I bought my case... I didn't have any of the equipment above. I didn't have a full size mobo, I didn't care about cable management, I had a tiny single slot GPU, and I definitely didn't have a 240mm radiator. But now that I've upgraded all my equipment and starting making it look "pretty" ....I'm glad I didn't have to switch cases 3 or 4 times to get there. I've got a corsair 300r.
You might be like me and get attached to your case :')

That being said, the tesseract is definetly one of the best options for that price range.

Some other options ;

I'm sure we do. But won't the Tesseract be able to do at least some of that? It can fit a 240mm radiator. It has space behind the motherboard and gromets for cable management. It has a cut-out for a motherboard back plate. It supports decent length graphic cards, and you can remove the 2.5 inch tray for even more space (I already have a 3.5 to 2.5 inch converter). I know it will not be the best case ever, but don't you think it will support me for a while to come?

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound so hostile :)

Mounting anything on a side panel is less than ideal, especially a water cooling assembly. The cable management is there yes, but it's a tight fit with the small access holes. There is no dispute that it will not support you for awhile, it has the options available. But awhile to come might come faster than you think, you might get the itch

Could I mount a 240mm radiator on the 2 top fan mounts?

Thank you very much for your help. One final question: With or without window? I'm leaning towards without as it is cheaper and I've seen people say that if you mount fans on it it makes an annoying noise.

Thank you
