hello guys,

it's little off topic but I need help.

I have one question for those who own Dell U2715H or any similar model.

I recently got this monitor and I'm not sure if my monitor is defected or not. The picture is crystal clear and colors really pop, but when standing display fades across the screen. or moving quite left or right to the side when sitting the display fades in the corners. colours fades, kinda greyish.

I don't believe it is suppose to be like this. Please help.

As far as I know, that is normal and called IPS glow. Your phone probably has an IPS screen as well, you should be able to find a similar effect on it. I am actually considering buying this monitor myself right now, and this and the high price are my only two big negative points, so I'm looking at VA ones. Can you tell me one thing, which is how the contrast is on your monitor? some sites report it as 800:1, others as 1100:1, although you probably aren't able to verify that without pro hardware..

I have IPS screen on my phone but I doesn't fade, not even a bit. As far as I know, IPS glow only shows on black background, usually around edges, on the bottom and on the top. I don't have any, maybe just a tiny little bit but that's okay. I couldn't find this display in any store so I checked the angles on older, cheaper ips dell 24 and it didn't produce that effect, at all.... Need to hear from someone who already has this display, to be sure.
Not sure, but I think static contrast ratio is 1000:1.

here's the picture from the side, to see the difference in just a few degrees
