Is the drive in a BUSlink D-DBW842-U2F SATA or PATA?

Simple question, especially if someone has this model of slim Firewire DVD burner and is willing to open it up and have a look.

Is it a SATA or PATA slim DVD burner in it, or is it a proprietary design where the drive can't be swapped out for a better one?

Hmm dont think so. By the looks of it, it's not that reliable either

Don't think what? If the drive is a standard SATA laptop DVD burner, then it should be possible to swap it for a SATA BD-RE and have a slim Firewire Blu-Ray drive, a 'unicorn' which the storage industry has never produced.
