Is the ENVY and ENVY Phoenix w/ GTX 970 safe?

I wanted to buy a ENVY with a i7-4790K and a GTX 970 , or a ENVY Phoenix with a I7-4790 and GTX 960. Now , both of these units have 500w PSUs , so is that safe?

According to Nvidia, they are. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-970/specifications
As long as they have the necessary 6/8 pin connectors and 28A available on the +12v rail(s).
