I am going to purchase a new monitor soon and my preferences are at least 144hz and at least 27". I would be using this monitor for gaming, video editing and a decent amount of spreadsheets and multiple tab projects. I have decided for either a 144hz 1ms 27" monitor for around $200, and a Specter 30" Ultrawide 200hz 5ms monitor for about $250. Is the ultrawide a good monitor for the extra money?
Thanks -R

If you're going to do video editing, yeah it's pretty damn good. I have a 32" and it's a vast improvement above my 21". I used to feel so confined with my video timeline but now I feel like I have more space than I know what to do with. It's a great feeling having it when I need it, plus that monitor is pretty cheap for a large VA panel with high refresh rates. It's a win-win all around. The 27" would be a nice secondary monitor.
