Is the flash storage of an iphone recoverable?

Okay so question I got from someone today.

He did NOT have icloud setup, and he deleted some files from his iphone (No idea which model), and at the time he was angry, so he deleted it from the "Recently deleted" area as well.

He's wondering if it's possible to recover those files at all?

Nope. It's gone for good. If it was on a Windows operating system computer hard drive, the capability to retrieve could have been possible. But on Flash memory, it's discharged and gone. Let this be a hard lesson to learn for him: always have a backup set whether cloud or put on an external drive, and never delete anything unless you truly mean to delete it.

Now it may be a long shot, but depending on his carrier they may have their own cloud system his phone was attached to that he didn't even know about. My Verizon Android has exactly that which I manually had to shut off as I did not want them snooping around on my phone. It may be worth his time to call his carrier.
