Hello, I was wondering if a Fractal Torrent E-ATX case would fit my build well. I was wondering if the fractal torrent comes with good fans or should I replace with noctua fans? How does it compare to the Fractal Meshify II? Thanks for your time.

I’d say go for that case. I don’t have any experience with that case, I’ve got a cooler master mb511 which also is a mesh type design, I definitely like it. That case looks like you hide the psu in a basement like my case as well. So I say get it.

This is the case I have. I’ve got 6 fans installed. 3 for intake on front, 2 exhaust on top, 1 rear exhaust.

Fractal Design Torrent
are you sure you would want a top-mounted power supply with no external vents for cool air intake?
should I replace with noctua fans?
Fractal Design will have included the fan model(s) in their manufacturer product page's "Specifications".
you can then compare their specific specs to any you may want to replace them with.

The 3 fans that come with the case work fine so you can just buy 2 of the extras, No clue why the expensive drive with the heatsink the overpriced board comes with M.2 drive heatsinks.

The Meshify 2 is a very good case.

Also for the video card unless your doing something with the PC that needs all the memory it's not a good buy when compared to a 3080 or 3080ti.

Thanks for your help :) The pc build is still In progress would you recommend me changing my mobo and ssd? If so if you could give me a good recommendation that would mean a lot. Also I know the 3090 is not a good value to money but I make video games and other demanding tasks that need that extra 12 GBs.

and you just need 32GB of memory with the power of the CPU and video card?

Your not going to find a 3090 at MSRP for a long time unless you get lucky with a best buy drop or on the newegg shuffle

One good advantage of a top mount psu is you can put a case fan under it to help keep cool air moving under it which can help the psu stay cool under load.
That’s really cool thanks for the info!
a bottom mounted power supply is always better with a decent case because it will be pulling in it's own cool air from the outside and not pulling in already warmed air from inside of the case.

mounting a fan under a top mounted power supply is going to no good at all because it is only pushing the same already warmed air that the PSU would've been pulling in on it's own.

You may be partially right, but years ago like more than 10 years ago, I had a power supply I’d gotten from tigerdirect.com, if anyone remembers when they were a bigger player similar to Newegg. I owned one of their house brand power supplies, and it was in a case that was top mounted. That power supply would shut off unless I had an exhaust fan directly under it pulling air out of the case, had that power supply for years.

However most of my cases have had bottom mounted power supplies, but top mounted power supplies can be just fine if things are set up right.
