Is the FX-9370 compatible?

I am planning on upgrading my PC and the FX-9370 seems to be the most powerful AMD CPU that I can find. I need to know if it is compatible with my mother board, the GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P. The socket is the same but I've heard that many motherboards aren't compatible. If not I will go with the FX-8370.

Go with neither.
The 9370 is an over priced, overheating abomination.
The 8370 is at the very end of any upgrade path.

Where it only has a 4+1 VRM setup I wouldn't run anything with a TDP higher than 95w. The 9370 has a 220w TDP and the 8370 is 125w.
