Hi,
Recently I am using Ryzen 7 1700x on my Asus Crosshair VI Hero Motherboard..I have a decent cooler. And my ram is 2x8gb Geil super luce 2400mhz..I am a overclocker. I overclock for my work like 3d modeling and Rendering..I got overall good performance from my ram. But I saw in YouTube and some other website, G.Skill Flare x is Best Compatible with Ryzen..Now my Question:: Is the Flare x ram best performer for Ryzen? or this is just a marketing policy for Business.. Because I want best performance from my ram...Please experts, help me with this topic...Should I change my Ram from Geil to Flare x for better performance?

Solution
Not so much the flare x , just that its samsung b-die which tends to be more reliable at higher speed on ryzen.

You have 2400mhz ram , there is a small benefit to be gained from running 3200mhz samsung b-die.

If you were building from new I probably would recommend it.

As ypure already up & runnjng however with ram which works perfectly well the price to performance benefit is not there for you.

You'd be spending $200+ for essentially bragging rights & benchmarking performance which doesnt translate to real world performance.

You might knock 2-3% off you're rendering times - for me thats not worth the monetary outlay .
