is the geforce gt610 good for gaming?

hey all I got what I thought was a heck of a deal on a new gaming pc from last year that someone had ordered on line and it got "lost" and when it was found was put on sale for 90 bucks< org. 500 its got an AMD FX 8100 8 core proc. with a GeForce gt610 graph. card now im new to pc gaming and building have some exp not a lot I just don't know if this will be powerful enough to run the latest game titles im sure the cpu is but everything else im not sure it also has 8 gig ram as well

The GPU will hardly run any thing it is worse than the latest Intel integrated graphics. Get a good PSU (you did not mention it) and then at least a GTX 960 for comfortable gaming performance @1080p. For higher resolution get the 970.

sorry dude, i'd rather stick with a built-in and save up for a decent one than get a 610. for your future reference, avoice those x10 (whether is 710 or 810 910) unless nvidia changed their naming scheme. if you want something decent, x50 (750, 650) is a good starting point
