Is The Gigabyte GA-Z97-HD3 Motherboard a good motherboard for games

I am thinking to buy this mobo beacuse someone told me for overclocking i should buy a mobo with a z97 chipset. I only chose this one beacuse it is the cheapest (149 Australian Dollars) - i wanted to know why it was so cheap compared to other z97 mobos and if it was good for gaming.

yes for a K version processor you need a z series board and haswell refresh processor needs z97 board but haswel can run on a z87 board so yes the gigabyte GA z97 hd3 is good for oc and gaming.

I own a gigabyte ga z97x up4 mobo with a i7 4790k proc and thats all I do is game with it. BUT it has the ponies to do what ever you want. Nice choice btw if your on a budget.
