Yeah its a good jump. If you can afford it, get it. However, I've been reading some articles that say the r9 290 has been having some fan problems, so while they have fixed that, you definitely should download their latest driver.

You will want to make sure you buy a non-reference cooler on any of those cards.
Price/performance they are do very well. I personally think the 290 will be the best bang for buck.

If you can afford a 290, it will play very well on your build.
The non-reference cooling cards have not come out yet, should be a week or two.
Non-reference refers to after market cooling (fans etc...) manufactors will add to make better cooling option from the reference model.

Sapphire, MSI, Gigabyte, Asus are the best in my option.

No all gaming grade graphics cards come with fans, otherwise they would burn up rather quickly
All you need is a graphics card and drivers from AMD ..

Yeah wait for 290x or 290 with non reference cooler..290x with non reference cooler and factory overclocked can go par on par with gtx 780 ti..
