Is the Gigabyte R9 290 Reliable?

I was interesting in purchasing this card, so I looked at reviews. I found very mixed reviews, and many say that the card plan didn't work/stopped working after ~6 months.

I haven't had any issues with customer builds I have done with that card. Just remember you never know what people are doing with their cards as in overclocking to much, flashing different bios etc.

this card runs hot therefore if you dont have propper cooling on your case or you lack enough fans then you can fry your gpu to death

the ppl who said it died in 6 months are noob builders who dont know the importance of cooling in a gaming system.. shame o them

as blacksheep said they run hot. if you do get one, make sure its one with a good cooler on it, not a reference.

I want to go with this card because of it's priceerformance. If I could get an Nvidia card I would.

then go buy it..its a great card.. just make sure you have propper cooling.... good cooling = happy pc
