Hey bros, soi'm going to upgrade my pc and i don't know if it's worth getting the gigabyte z97x ud5h bk over the normal ud5h...i know that the bk is more safer but i'm not sure...the price difference is only ~30$...here's my pc specs
Cpu:intel i7 4790k
Gpu:msi geforce gtx 980 gaming 4g
Ram:16gb
Mobo:gigabyte z97x ud5h(bk)
Psu:cm v750 gold
Case:cm storm trooper
So is it worth it?
I have another question is everything fully compatible in this rig?and is this mobo good for gaming?
Thx in advance bros :)

Yes they're identical boards. One just gets certified stress testing and comes with a longer warranty with a slightly different color scheme. I've got two of the ud5h non bk boards in a couple systems and I've been happy with them. The pics of the non bk tend to make the heatsinks look yellowy and washed out, almost orange or brassy colored. They're gold. I don't know if you're in the u.s. or not but they're currently $139 which is much better than the $170-180 they usually run.

The ud5h bk is only $22 more at the moment. I don't think the certified testing is as big of a deal, but if the blacked out heatsinks...
The two boards are functionally identical, except one costs more money (I know, it supposedly undergoes longer stress testing and comes with a certificate stating such). Here is my thinking on things like this (extended warranties fall into this category as well). Either I trust the manufacturer to make a quality product, in which case, why pay more for the exact same thing, or I don't trust the manufacturer to make a quality product, in which case, why do business with them in the first place?
As well, there is the physiological aspect for me. I have a hard time wrapping my head around the concept of paying more money to get a product that actually works; to me, that should be part of the base purchase price.

well i bought once a mobo from them and i had no problem with them but that was my only experience but in the reviews the normal version seems to be very good but since i can get both then why not?specially that the only difference is only 30$ but yet i'm not sure...so did u had any personel experience with them?

Well yea but I mean, why pay an extra 30 dollars for literally the exact same product?

The ud5h bk is only $22 more at the moment. I don't think the certified testing is as big of a deal, but if the blacked out heatsinks and extra warranty matter to you then it's not that big of a price leap. Otherwise I'd just go for the ud5h.
