Hey! I have this build at the moment

Case - Corsair Graphite 760 T
PSU - Cooler Master v850
Motherboard - GA-Z97X-GAMING 7, Socket 1150
CPU - i7-4790k
CPU-Cooler - NZXT Kraken X61 CPU-Watercooling
RAM - Corsair Dominator DDR3 1866 MHz 16 GB
Graphics Card - MSI GeForce GTX 970 4 GB
HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1 TB
SSD - Corsair SSD Force Series GS 128 GB 2.5»
DVD-Driver - ASUS BC-12D2HT

I currently have a relatively outdated but good 24" 1080p . I now want to buy a new 4K monitor or a monitor with atleast 2560x1440 resolution.
Of what I`ve been told GTX 970 4GB isnt suitable for a 4K monitor. Therefore I want to buy a new graphics card, and I`m thinking: GeForce GTX TITAN X 12GB
It does cost 10 000 nowegian kroners which equals over 1000 $.

I want some of the best gaming performance and in game experience, but is this upgrade worth it or should i rather buy 980 Ti? And if I do this upgrade, should I update some of the other components aswell? (for optimizing every components performance)

I am a gamer, youtuber, streamer and I do video creation and music production. Thank you for your help in advance!

All are good. Get a 980Ti like mine and you will be able to play 4K 60FPS. Titan X is not worth the money so much as for a Gigabyte 980Ti G1 Gaming and they have almost the same performance. Titan X is 3-5% better than 980Ti in games. But for editing Titan X have more RAM for that, but they are almost the same. I make video edit musik and layouts with my and all just fine.
